Vertical cabins must maintain an average air speed of at least 0.30 m/s (approximately 0.98 ft/s), measured 1 meter (3.28 feet) from the floor, with no point below 0.25 m/s (approximately 0.82 ft/s). To accurately assess the average velocity, measurements must be taken at a minimum of 9 points, evenly distributed across the grille’s cross-section. The final average velocity is calculated by averaging the velocities measured at each defined point, ensuring proper airflow distribution throughout the cabin.
